ISSRDC

TIME Lab graduate student, Alice Burchett, presented ongoing results from our lab's first experiment on the International Space Station (ISS) at the 2024 ISS Research and Development Conference. At ISSRDC, Alice described the opportunities and challenges in studying glioblastoma - an aggressive brain cancer - using organoids in the permanent microgravity environment of the ISS. Our ongoing analyses suggest there are advantages to studying this cancer in low Earth orbit over terrestrial conditions for both biological insight and therapeutic development.
