Third-year graduate student Julian Najera presented at the 2024 BMES-CMBE conference in San Juan, PR in Jan. 2024. Julian's poster highlights the lab’s recent preprint on the mechanics of brain cells. This work shows that normal, healthy astrocytes and malignant glioblastoma cells have similar mechanical properties which may in part underlie the infrequency of glioblastoma metastasis.
