Killian Onwudiwe, PhD, a postdoctoral fellow in the TIME Lab, was selected and awarded a scholarship to attend the bi-annual Brain Tumors course at the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory in New York. Ongoing for 30 years, this course covers breakthroughs, challenges, and potential solutions for brain tumor treatments by bringing together researchers and clinicians on the world-renowned CSHL campus. Killian presented his methods to characterize the mechanical properties of cancer cells, and his hypotheses on how the brain tumor microenvironment might impact these mechanopathological features at the cellular level.
